Description
Spiderbond 6042F film adhesive is a film form hot melt adhesive produced based on EVA. Film adhesives handle like a fabric facilitating both intermittent and continuous processes. The CO-PA film is available in a range of thickness from 0.01mm-30mm.
6042F film adhesive is based upon EVA polymer. This product has low application temperature, good flexibility, wide bonding substrates range, good strength and fast curing speed, suitable for bonding to a wide variety of substrates, such as textiles, foams, paper, leather, fabrics, EVA polymer and plastic materials, etc.

Shelf Life:
6042F should be shipped and stored at temperatures below 40°C. The shelf life of 6042F is one year since production date under these conditions.
Directions for Using:
6042F can be activated with any of the following techniques: electric fusing press, heated rolls, heated air, radiant heat, or steam press. Dry heat activation recommend above 80°C.
Reactivation time is dependent upon technique, temperature, pressure, substrates, and adhesive thickness, but would typically be in a pressure of 2.0-3.0 kg/cm² or higher to the adherend, and maintain the pressure for 10~20 seconds to complete the bonding.
The surface of the adherend should be as clean and dry as possible, free of solvents and grease. Lower adherent surface temperatures or ambient temperatures will cause early adhesive coagulation, reducing open time and even causing adhesive shedding. Preheat the adherend if necessary.
It is recommended to use it once after opening the package.
In order to achieve the best bonding effect, the bonded product should preferably be cold-pressed and stored at a suitable temperature (for example: 25°C). In general, the bonding strength can be achieved by cooling to room temperature after bonding. Generally, it is considered to be stable after 1 hour, and the best bonding strength is achieved after 24 hours. Due to the difference between the adhered material and the gluing equipment, please select the appropriate thickness of the adhesive film and adjust the process parameters appropriately.
